Father Sheehy's Memorial, Shanrahan, Clogheen
ClogFrShee
When we first saw the postcard we thought the tower was the memorial. Actually, the memorial is the wrought iron fence in the foreground. The grave of a later parish priest is also inside the fence, in line with Fr. Sheehy's grave, so the fence is about 4.5 meters long. There is much more to learn about what you see here than can be told briefly. A web search will return many sites with information about Fr. Sheehy and his times.
